September !!
and this farm is humming!
Lots of exciting updates, including a report on our first multi-day retreat, 2026 Farm Store shares, as well as exciting growth in our livestock herd.
Retreat

Twenty guests enjoyed 3 days of programming around harvesting, cooking, and dining in community. In addition, everyone experienced firsthand the inter-connectedness of the veggie operation, the livestock, and our fertility and forestry efforts. The group also enjoyed off-farm events at Seven Acre Dairy, Breezy Dairy Farm, and Landmark Butter.
It was incredible to be reminded of all we have created here through the eyes of our participants! We love visitors and hope to grow our event programming in 2026 with more tours, dinners, and retreats.
Farm Store

Our barn is open for business! Beginning Spring of 2026 we plan to be offering vegetable starts, fertility and potting soil mixes for gardeners, twenty-plus varieties of organic produce and herbs, grass-fed lamb and beef, supplemented with other locally sourced products such as eggs and honey. In addition, our newly launched line of preserved products will always be in stock.

2026 Farm Store Shares
Interested in being a part of a CSA but tired of getting 12 squash every week? Consider purchasing a Flynn Creek Farm Store share! This program operates like store credit which can be used for any product we sell.
Buying a Farm Store Share supports the maintenance of our regenerative ecosystem. Similar to a traditional CSA, this program helps us (the farmer) cover upfront costs involved in producing delicious nutrient dense food, while also inviting you (the eater!) into a closer relationship with your food and where it comes from. Members will receive regular updates about farm operations, a 10% discount if purchased before March 1, 2026, and an invitation to join us at the end of the season for a bountiful farm-table dinner.
We will have a link on our website up soon, but in the meantime, email info.flynncreekfarm@gmail.com to purchase.
Livestock

We had six calves born into our Black Angus herd this month which was quite special. We also are excited about acquiring Yoyo (pictured right) a seven year old retired dairy cow. She is a Jersey and will be spending the next several years on our pasture putting some weight on.
We got turned onto this idea at an event with Chef Dan Barber at Stone Barns in New York last year during Climate Week and we figured that with Flynn Creek Farm in the middle of dairyland, this presented a win-win-win opportunity. 1) This majestic animal gets to live out her years on delicious pasture grass, 2) We’ll pay our neighboring dairy farmers a better price than the hamburger factory, and 3) the consumer has the opportunity to have highly nutritious meat that purportedly is higher in Omega 3’s than salmon.
